Reddit sued Anthropic (maker of Claude AI) for allegedly scraping Reddit's content over 100,000 times without permission or payment, despite having licensing agreements with OpenAI and Google that involve proper compensation. So, normally, I'd kinda be like "whatever - AI companies gonna pirate (yarrr), content companies gonna sue." And I still kind of feel that way, but this is slightly different. There's a bit of a brand conflict happening that I find interesting.
