Welcome! I’m Seth Redmore, and I’m your host today. I’m glad you could join us here today, and I want to remind you that it’s deathly important you sign up for the soon-to-be-shipping newsletter. Lives are at stake.
Up above, we have our categories, the cleverly categorized “AI” and “NOT AI” – a provably complete set of everything. You can read about general AI concepts, how governments are messing up the regulation of AI (or not!), tools and how to use them, read some stories/listen to music, and see the occasional random rant.
Down below we have the recent articles! Look at how pretty that is! Go click something.
And located along the 4th dimension, time (I know you know that, I’m saying this for the other people…). Along that other dimension, we have the announcement coming of a series of books “Generative AI for the Curious Businessperson.”
Stay tuned for more on this ripple coming from the future.
Who is Seth?
Hey! I'm Seth Redmore, and I founded Redmore Studio. (Surprise!)
I come here from a few decades spent in tech. That time was split evenly between networking hardware and AI, in marketing roles up through CMO positions. I've done some cool stuff. Like, I helped build Japan's internet backbone, I co-founded a company acquired by Cisco, and I've spent years banging my head against the walls of what was possible in AI language understanding.
My AI journey has centered on natural language processing, and I've been fortunate to witness the remarkable evolution of language models. Over the past few years, I took a run at three different startups—from one inspired by my close connection to dementia (no, not me) to entertainment chatbots to open source AI agent systems. None worked out.
So, I did something I've always threatened to do. I wrote a book. Actually, I wrote 3 of them. This is the 3-book series: "Generative AI for the Curious Businessperson." The series is written for the businessperson that helps drive the medium-sized enterprises of the world. The first volume ships right around April 15. (From the Printing Press to Agentic Workflows, what Generative AI Means for You, and What You're Going to Do About it.)
